Question 1: So, what’s up with Saudi Arabia and UAE? Why are they, all of a sudden, so active and everything?
Dr Newitol: It is two young crown princes and one king who likes to deport people. They all agree that Qatar hosts terrorists, Arabs are not ready for democracy, and China, Russia, Iran and Turkey should have limited spheres of influence. As in none.
Question 2: But why is UAE leading Saudi Arabia in all these assertive plans….?
Dr. Newitol: Nobody screens these questions? Saudi Arabia’s budget is 261 billion and UAE’s is 13.7 billion. So of course the Saudis are the bosses here.
Question 3: What do you think about Prime Minister Abiy and his campaign of “medemer” and pardoning everyone.
Dr. Newitol: Charity begins at home: he first pardoned himself! He was a part of a government, EPRDF, and its security apparatus which he said committed state terror against citizens. To pardon himself, he has to pardon others.
Question 4: Is Eritrea’s President Isaias Afwerki well?
Dr. Newitol: No.
Question 5: What is the difference between Ethiopia’s Five Point Peace Plan (2004) and Ethiopia’s Five Pillar Peace Plan (2018) with Eritrea?
Dr. Newitol: About 14 years.
Question 6: Why did Ethiopia miss her monthly loan repayment to China?
Dr. Newitol: So China can stop its development plans, go to arbitration court, and make room for UAE, Saudi Arabia and USA.
Question 7: What do you call 100 Ethiopian young men and 17 Eritrean old women thirty thousand feet up in the air?
Dr. Newitol: Eritrean Airlines.
Question 8: Why do bad things happen to good people?
Dr. Newitol: Because good things happen to bad people.
Question 9: Now that there is peace between Eritrea and Ethiopia, what will change about the Eritrean National Service?
Dr. Newitol: They are now called National Peace Service and the yearly rounds are called Peace Round.
Question 10: Whatever happened to once mighty Egypt? Why is it in decline?
Dr. Newitol: Because, 650 million years ago, God did not place in Egyptian land enough organisms that could decompose to become fossil fuel now.

Do you think other sidelined EPLF members insider Asmara will do as Berhane Abrehe did?
First, I really think that Iran’s takeover of Yemen ( Saudi’s backyard!) was just too good for Iran’s own good. It’s like invading a country you do not have the resources to properly occupy! You really don’t need a reckless and inexperienced prince to declare war on such an affront! I remember the first time I heard of the news. I laughed. What?! Where the hell are the Saudis?! I mean, it’s like these arabs invading Eritrea and Eth. is just watching, and then joining Eritrea! :)))))) But the Saudis have the key to God’s coffers and an ideology even more aggressive than that of Iran to protect! What was Iran thinking?????
Well, the answer arrived late to devour poor Yemen whole! :))))))))
My point is, these arabs do not want to confront the Ayatollahs without Egypt by their side! And I really think that explains, more than China/Turkey, for example, as to why the arabs are these days all over us – the price paid to Egypt for …. well, I think Sisi said, I am kind of busy with stuff at home; but call me if Eritrean soldiers are not enough! :)))))
I think no other country is more interested for arabs to be Eritrea, for obvious reasons. So, what now seems like rescuing Eth. with arab money is actually as good as handing a hand cuffed Eth. over to Egypt! If there is a fight with Egypt, big or small, Eth. can no longer fight back!
Now, did we really miss repayment to China?! I knew something was coming! :)))))) Well, I can’t say these arabs are any better, but a poor country like Eth. needs China if only it wants to disappear its own citizens with total impunity! I don’t think Abiy wants to do that, which makes the TPLF to not give up too soon????? :)))))))) To be honest, even without angry TPLF today, and nasty TPLF yesterday, I really don’t think that Eth. is ready for the kind of democracy Abiy is talking about. TPLF would do everything to exploit the fact, but I don’t think it’s TPLF’s fault the country is not ready for democracy. I don’t think one can build a functional democratic system by making nice speeches; the country must first be prepared to service the system, institutionally; and protect (it into being) from detractors, nefarious like TPLF, or just plain illiterate like most of the Ethiopian population. I don’t think Abiy knew what it entailed when he aspired to be a king someday. :)))))))))
The Eritrean Airlines joke ……. I thought you would be too cool for that “our deep state hits back at treasonous Afewerki!” kind of narrative????????? Maybe not? :)))))))))))
I think I should stop here.
